Choose Your Ideal Coffee Pouch from Our Diverse Collection

Coffee Pouches With A Degassing Valve

Our coffee pouches with one-way degassing valves are specifically designed to vent the carbon dioxide that coffee beans slowly release after the roasting process. It’s important to let this CO2 out so the pouch or bag isn’t damaged but it’s also critical to stop oxygen getting to the beans, otherwise flavor is lost and shelf life reduced. The humble valve on our pouches might not look like much but it’s a true hero when it comes to keeping your coffee at its best.

Coffee Pouch Without A Valve

Pouches without valves are still used widely in the industry. Ground coffee gives off less CO2 than whole roasted beans, so it’s quite common to see grounds not using a valve. Even roasted beans can be packed without a valve if you know the customer will be opening the pouch within a few days of dispatch.

The design of coffee pouches plays a crucial role in the purchasing decision of your consumers, which is why our collection offers you different styles from which you can easily choose:

  • Stand-up Pouches also know as Doypacks. The classic pouch of choice, that we all know and love. They’re available in many different colours and volumes to suit your brand identity.
  • Flat bottom pouches also known as Box Bottom Bag, have a flat strong base to sit securely even with a heavy fill. The flat front and back sides give plenty of space to get creative and sit proud on the shelf.

  • Black
  • Brown

Material

The face material of your packaging is equally as important as the colour, as this is where the texture and haptics come into play:

  • Paper pouches have a natural kraft paper outer layer, with choices of white or brown. A brown kraft paper gives strong organic and artisanal messaging to potential customers
  • Plastic pouch provide a smooth and highly refined finish. Matt White pouches are perfect for that contemporary and sleek look.

FAQ’s

What packaging material is used for coffee beans?

Coffee requires high barrier packaging to ensure it’s quality is not degraded. We use high barrier food grade materials, certified to UK and EU standards. Our pouches have a 3 layer structure to guarantee the magic of your coffee is there in every cup.

Can you provide custom-printed pouches?

Yes, we can provide custom printed pouches. We digitally print on top of the pouch so can offer a low MOQ of 100pcs and lead time of just 7 days.

Are flat bottom pouches or stand up pouches best for coffee?

Box bottom bags / flat bottom pouches and stand up pouches are made with the same high barrier materials and both have options for degassing valves, so they’re equal. It’s really a matter of personal preference and brand styling choice.

Do I always need a valve if I’m packing whole coffee beans?

No, but it depends on how long the coffee will be in transit before opening. This will vary for different roasts but 2-3 days is usually okay. Let us know if you would like a free sample to make your own tests.
